Hey guys, just curious if anyone knows for sure what the capacity of the 1290 fuel tank is WITH the fuel pump fitted inside. I know it is said to be 18l or 4.8 gal(4.75 techincally) but curious if that is before the fuel pump is placed in the tank or if that is the capacity with the fuel pump. I'm trying to determine how far I could go running the tank dry without running it dry to find out.

Fuel counter at the gas station read 18.2 l after filling it up. Min. milage so far of 280-300km's

#5Can't provide you a better answer than the owners manual but I can attest to the fact that I ran out of gas Saturday on my way home from a ride. I knew I was low on fuel
but the computer told me I had 12 miles left (range) and I was only a couple miles from home and sure as hell ran out of gas on the freeway - I had meticulously reset the
trip 1 setting each fill up - As an aside this bike is amazing - Its the best bike I've ever owned bar none. The sprocket needs changing but thats it.
