A reason to smile

I've got a face like a bulldog licking piss off a nettle at the moment, late back from a very shite job in china, bike still not well and progress on the problem appears to be as likely as mu beloved Bills making the superbowl this season.

Anyway, some of you may know my Spanish gurlfriend is a bit of a fightergurl, and she's making her MMA debut under semi pro rules later this year.

Last saturday night she had a semi pro Kickbox match in Barcelona, by way of being a bit of a "live" test as she's not fought for nearly a year.

Anyway, despite taking a massive punch after about 30 seconds and surviving by getting in the clinch and doing just enough not have the ref seperate them till she'd stop seeing burdies, she went on to win in round 3 by TKO. (Bought on by a head kick that put the other girl on the canvas - sweet her hero is Mirko Crocop )

So she's off on a holiday now with her Mum, with a black eye and some monster bruises on her left thigh. "I've bougth 5 new bikinis and I'll have to waer shorts for a few days."

So that made me smile, ans she's a happy little girl.
She can't wait to get back in the gym and carry on with her MMA training which includes loads of BJJ.

I'm actually feeling a little jealous and wish I was still involved with Judo.
