DribbleDuke
Ther sure has been quite a few posts about "slipper" clutches as of late.
The first time I witnessed one was on a 1983 VF750f. They dissapeared for a long while and now they are all the rave. Or is that rage?
It got me wondering if in hindsight, they could have been fitted to a two stroke. Not for your everyday back torque limitations but as a safety device should the motor seize. I wonder if tgey were ever fitted to two stroke racers.
Anyone know? Anyone have one on any other machine?
KTM was a hold out for a long time and I believe they ran super light flywheel weights to counteract the need for one. Did the buying public demand through pressure from other manufactures or are we at the point that no quality motorcycle can live without one.
