I have been reading about this, looks like great exercise. Anyone ever try it?
Anybody ever try moto gymkhana?

#3Klinky and I did a Craig Jones stunt day at Silverstone a few years back that was like a weak piss version of moto gymkhana. I did plan to do a bit more of it and looked up a few events in the UK before not bothering to attend them.
One day I would like to get a 690R with crash bars and have a real good crack at it, the bike would also be perfect for getting blackflagged in the novice group of trackdays.

#6I'd love to be able to do that BUT the reality is that I'd either get dizzy and vomit in my helmet or simply get lost and wander off into a head-on with someone else on the course, or maybe both. Maybe in my next lifetime.

#10Somehow I like this also.

#11Nope, but I do admire the skills of those that are good at it (as I do Trials riders). Especially those that do this so well on really big bikes.
And nearby (on a Boxer),

#17I would LOVE to do this.
There is a local group that hosts some skills days events that are not quite up to the level of the gymkhana, more along the lines of the motorcycle test but it's still a hell of a lot of fun. http://www.meetup.com/Eireannach-Rothai/
I went to a few last year (and if you dig through their pictures you will see me on the SD in there) but because of work and having the bike torn apart for most the riding season I haven't made it to any this year. looks like they have one coming up on the 21st.
And I just found out a few weeks ago that one of the guys in my BJJ class is a motorcycle cop and they get together at a airstrip and practice once a month. I need to get the dang bike back up and running and see if I can join them to see what it's like.
