I know this is a silly post, so I do apologise, but i'm having massive trouble deciding which SD to buy! All I know is I'm determined to collect it this weekend....!

My current contenders;

07 SD-R £6550 akras and PC III

55 SD £4500 leo vince, s/damper, bungs

58 SD £6100 akra evo, bungs

.......help......
i guess it depend's what type of riding you'll be doing?

i think the SD R is a bit more siuted to track riding than the stnd SD?
All other things being equal and if the smaller tank range is not an issue*. I would buy the 55 plate. If it has done 9000 miles or more this may be a benefit as the 9000 mile service is a biggy. The early bikes had a couple more BHP as standard too. Try to get it for 4 grand though, then it will be a bargain.

*Early bikes had 15 litre tank and run out of fuel after about 100 miles. 07 model onwards had a 17 litre tank.

I have an 07 SDR cos I am a tart for the orange frame. It is not a better road bike than a standard SD. Ok if you do mostly fast rides and trackdays though.

If you are mainly a road rider want the extra fuel capacity, nicer graphics, more bling brakes and clocks you can keep a goldfish in get the 58 reg. Especially if it is white / black.
I think 05 and 06 models are great.

cheers for the thoughts...keep 'em coming.

The bike will be 90% road - commuting also for most of the year. Tank range isn't an issue, there are plenty of petrol stations

The 55 plate has done about 6000miles, doubt he'd go for £4k though.

The 58 is white actually...has akra evos too which I can't help but want!
i like the 08 ones with white on but black is faster
