Many posts as of late are about axle folly and every new one makes me think of this character.
Another interesting tought was that I am on a jobsite that requires the look of old world charm. We recieved a load of reclaimed lumber that will require some personalizing in the form of a hand hewn look. It is all the rage about these parts and one of the important characteristics is it needs the look of being worked with an adz. It dawned on me that the more you adz the more you subtract.

As much as I think tax-stamp free cigarettes being used for entrapment in Detroit can be amusing, the music - please hand me a barf bag.

An adze - really? LOL - the only person I've ever seen use one was some crazed boat builder I know ... I always wondered what people used them for other than hand-building something like a log structure (timber preparation). Little worse appearing than artificially distressed/weathered wood - what a waste (even if the material was "reclaimed") ... Have fun with the adze (don't forget the leg protection).

I think this thread is about fun.
