Saw Supersized Earth on the BBC the other night. Grabbed these screen shots of the engine being put together for this massive container ship being built in South Korea. Some crazy 2 stroke diesel engine with torque figures in the millions of Nm Man what a fooking beast!

Jeese they are some cams

Was it worth watching? Might iPlayer it
Yeah there are 2 episodes and both worth watching. That is in fact the crank shaft and casing they are about to drop it into. Bore size I believe is 90cm and is a very long stroke. CC is huge per cylinder.
And made by Daewoo and Hyundai... Won't buy their cars but will ship hazardous materials in their ships
Wonder if a set of Akra's would help increase output
Do you think my Shorai battery could turn this crank over?

No...... I don't think so either
