Billy no mate's ride out

Well we've had snow all week and come the weekend it was still here (today),i thought it would be a very good idea to organise an off road blast in the snow along our normal route.
Bursting with excitement i rang round (3 people) to see if anyone was up for it,only to be met with "it's to cold" .
Bollocks i thought im not staying in i need to ride a motorcycle,so i set off on my own which on reflection was'nt the smartest thing to do should i have an off.
I ended up doing about 30 mile at a snails pace the freshly fallen snow hid the fact that all week 4x4's had been playing around and had compacted the old snow turning it into an ice ring. Not being one to give up too easily i persisted on,but threw in the towel after so many near miss'es.you just could'nt tell what the snow hid from view even though i know these tracks very well, it's not worth breaking your bones for so i whimped off home riding like a girl
Of course later on if asked down the pub after a few pints how it went, none of the above will be mentioned i rode like a world enduro champion luckily no one locally owns an SD
