My SDR is still wrapped up in the garrage and has been since the beggining of November and it will most probably stay there untill spring time.
So to get my adrenaline rush i've been alternating between greenlaning (XR 400) and Kayaking (Pyranha G3). Today i set off canoeing, much to the amusement of friends and family who thought i was totally crazy due to it being only -2 outside.
Anyway did about 12 mile all told with a stop off to take a pee and some photo's, niether recomended in these temparature's by the time i had finnished pratting about with the camera my hands and feet were like blocks off ice. Realising that my body temp was dropping fast i decided to get a move on and restore some heat quickly.
(Check out the boat at the rear, that'll be costly)
A few hours later i was back at the pontoon from where i'd launched,at the end of which sat an angler. I stripped off put on dry clothes, packed the kayak and wet gear in the van and went over to see if he'd caught anything.
He'd caught nothing in the last few hour's, i noticed he had a cast on his letf foot with bare toe's showing i said f*cking hell mate you must be cold without a sock on,he pulled up the other trouser leg and said "i have'nt got a sock on this foot either"( normal day shoe no sock) He turned out to be 71 yrs old and said he never felt the cold on his hands and feet. Respect
