So, it's shit hot, fast as fook, looks good, is made by a good company so will prolly be reliable, chucks out 190BHP!!!!!! and costs just over £10k standard and just over £12k for the sport with trimmings.

RC8 anyone?

i think youll find that any brand is going to have examples of major failure here and there, even Honda. but BMW are known for reliability, thats one of the reasons you buy them. they cover hundreds of thousands of miles and keep going.

personally i dont like the brand find them very hard to look at. i seem to be drawn to high maintenence types, KTM, Ducati, etc...

I'd get an S1000RR if I were out for an arse-up-heads-down bike. Thanks to my tuned mass damper I carry around my waist I don't easily fold into that arse-up-heads-down-heels-up-your-bum-position.

I'm still going to go test ride one... will it be my 3rd first year beemer?

I'm with Joker, can't beat the SD's ergo's, the RR is no around town bike, few bikes do-it-all like the SD!

I'd twist the grip if given the chance though!
