#3To limit one segment of the population (motorcyclist's) to only using an OEM exhaust system is discriminatory, (auto owners can purchase after market exhaust) and punitive because it punishes anyone that wants to have freedom of choice.
Imagine the impact of this law is going to have on the aftermarket exhaust companies. It has effectively killed them.
The State of California should enforce the laws that are already on the books. [/i]

#19Do I wear a helmet on my motorcycle? Yep
Should there be a law saying I have to? No
I do anyway, same as wearing a seatbelt. I do it on my own, but don't think I should be forced to.
Why, as a law abiding US citizen can I not buy a handgun in any state but the one I reside?
I know the intent of that law, but it does not stop the criminals from getting guns.
I can go on and on about this, but I won't. That is a rant unto itself.

Now if I can just find a way to mount a 249SAW to the handlebars I'll be set.

#28I see people here on sport bikes every day with no helmet.
Saw a couple on a nice Ducati yesterday, no gear at all. That is legal here, stupid, but legal.
It is about money, the folks along that road in Cali have money and they are going to get their way.
Insurance lobby has money, and will get their way. The US government is run by special interests and big business. The people do not have a say in it any longer, and this needs to change.

#35Remember when we were kids. We use to go down to the field and play army with are toy guns and rifles, and before that it was cowboys and Indians with our six shooters on our hips. We didn't need no friggen helmets when we rode our BMX bicycles, we didn't need to wear knee&elbow pads when we played football in the street and we could play kick the can after dark. America lives in fear. Bring America back...Have the freedom to go down to the field and widdle a sling shot with a pocket knife.
A part of growing up is getting hurt. It makes us stronger, it gives us character, and it makes us stronger. America needs to grow up. We can't always do what big brother wants. We need to figure it out for our selves. Life is what you make of it!
Sorry rant over. I guess I say things differently.
