So you are going to cover the pretty akrapovic logo?
I had some headers for my cafe project CermaKrome'd () but haven't actually gotten around to reassembling the engine to see how they hold up with use yet...They look great in polished "chrome" but I guess you're going for a matte look?

I was told that the company I got them done with coats all the exhaust manifolds of the local city buses and the finish is holding up very well with hard/hot, daily use....
I have three sets of complete OE stainless steel exhaust pipes, one titanium rear header and various silencers - two of the exhaust pipe systems need welding and/or repair but all parts, apart from the silencers and titanium rear header, are suffering from corrosion, etc and look sh*te, probably the visually worse wearing components on the bike.

They could be repaired, shotblasted and polished but it wouldn't be long before they look bad again given all year round use - have failed to find a titanium coat finish that isn't gold and so was looking at the ceramic options - colourwise, difficulty is matching/pairing with titanium silencers and therefore most interested in clear coating applied to shotblasted/matt polished finish.

Any other's experience would be helpful in making a decision.
Hey #47,

I just did mine but wont really know the longevity of them for a while as I bought a cheap SV650 commuter.
So now I'm only riding the SD990 about once a fortnight atm.

Comrade 47: I've got a 990 that had the headers done with a gloss ceramic coating years ago. They are still in mint condition although the riding conditions here are a bit kinder than where you ride.
