#2Almost impossible to diagnose engine noises without hearing them first hand
Try taking the baffles out, that will quieten it down

I'm not sure, but I thought that the recall they are talking about is to exchange clutch springs. You can contact your dealer and ask him if all recall actions have been performed.
First thing I would do is check if none of the bolts has some lose.
If you leave the bike on its sidestand you can remove the cover without oil coming out.

#8I have an '07 and the clutch does exactly the same as yours. It's normal, don't worry about it. If you pull the lever in it goes a bit quieter? I used to have dry clutch Ducati - that's a noisy clutch on idle, this one isn't!

#9really, normal? i have almost 30k on mine and the clutch isnt making any noise.

#10Well, it's not really a bad noise, I wouldn't think anything of it if people didn't keep asking this question.
It's like a slight jingling noise that you really only notice when you pull the clutch lever in and hear the difference. Can't hear it with my helmet on I don't think.
