What the fook happened there? That was like a brain fart or something. He just seemed to forget he was in the corner and went straight on. Lucky he didnt get collected by Cleatus in his Chevvy.

By the looks of it, someone else did something similar at the same spot due to the amount of rubber on the road.

Holy Fook ! i know that feelin.

ya realise ya messed up and there's no time for correcting the mishap , ie: LEANING / Turning ! Yur just out of time and it's just not possible.

happened to me once. Now every time i get on the bike i say repeatidly over and over " lean the bike john - lean the bike " until it's kinda engrained into the DNA .....

That guy was lucky ! so was i ....

johnny

ps. in my case the only way i was gona save the day was if i threw the bike down into a powerslide like flat tracking - but again , it all happens so fast .

That's tough to watch... and one lucky guy...

Target fixation?

And that looks more like Angeles Nation Forest Highway, not Angeles crest.

What the! Had to give that dude credit though at least he missed the cars by going up the gap next to the fence.

Target fixation, riding beyond "his" limit,it looked like he was running wide in all the corner's to me trying to stay in touch with the riders in front. A very lucky save helped by the fact that none of the vehicle's swerved to miss him,he then pulls back out without looking let's hope he's learnt his lesson before he injure's himself or other's and ride's at a pace he can handle.

That was close!

Seems to make a slow and indistinct turn in on the last bend, this puts him over the line wide which is where the trouble sets in. He nudges back in to miss the first one but then seems to get fixed on the second one and goes wider, then makes a decision and does well to make the gap. As far as I can tell there is no way of establishing if he looked before pulling back out so benefit of the doubt there.

Looks like wandering concentration followed by wandering line followed by a big slice of luck. Still there can't be many of us on here who haven't drifted over the line at some stage. I have plenty of times and my luck was simply not to meet something heavy and solid coming the other way.

Final thought. Perhaps I'm odd but when I have a genuine close call like that I never talk about it. Cant shut me up on trivia but for some reason the 'real' stuff stays in the locker. Anybody else do that?

I think its normal not to talk about stuff up's because you think your mates are going to say you cant ride but your mates don't tell you about their stuff ups because they think that your thinking they cant ride get the picture LOL!!! We all make stuff up's at some stage in our riding lives but some of us get away with it and some of us don't. Stay safe all
