#13I was a failed screenwriter at uni. Now I am a failing haulage company owner.
Either next year or year after I plan to do Phil Parkers M.A in screenwriting at London College of Printers.
Do you have any experience of this course? Or any of the alternatives? I know there is another in the third world somewhere....Oh yes, Liverpool!
Cant go there though, already in a minority group with the SD. I wouldnt want to join another, literate Liverpudlians. They can all draw though ............... most of them draw benfits

#16I do like the screenwriting courses though I have done several. Trouble is I feel a bit of a fraud as mostly they are full of young writers who want to progress and make a career of it.
Same feeling when I go in fast group on trackdays and find it is full of club racers. I've been there years ago and found out I didnt have it. Now it is just fun to me. But almost everyone else out there is of the 'kill em and eat em' mentality. Now they get a kick out of getting past me and I get a kick out of staying out of the gravel.
I do think I have, maybe, one great screenplay in me. But every year that goes by I get less inclined to put it out there and find out. I guess, for most of us life is better lived with the 'what could have beens' than cope wth the rejection.
