Do we talk about other bikes on here ?2

Aside from the odd mentioning of a Ducati on here, I don't see much about other bikes we've owned ? What was your first REAL bike ? besides the SD what bike impresed you the most ? what bike(to you) was the coolest thing since peferated toilet paper ? anyone own any classics ? what was the biggest dissapointment to you in the biking industry? Things like that ?

I'll even start

I own a clasic (86 gsxr 750 ltd 22,000 kms MINT) this bike was also one of my biggest let downs. After riding one back in 86 ans scaring the shite outt myself on it, I bought one in 2000 for my verry ownI was ridinga gsxr 1000 2k at the time, and when I took the LTD for a spin,it was like a kittten compared to the thousand.....duh ! How time can change ? My first REAL bike was a 72 Honda CB 350 (I was 13) and I used to sneek this thing on the highways and just giver ! 80-115 mph TOPS pending on state of tune it was in.....lol mor to add later, got's to to to work to pay and play

This is like revisiting a old nightmare, I had all but forgotten about my ol TS90 suzuki with a 10 speed tranny, man did I use to kick the shit outta that thing,by the time it was almost done finished kapoot, you could start the thing in the trail gears(lower geared ) and then when you were all topped out at 50 mph, I would kick the gear selector(not recomended by suzuki) into the top gear range and get another 10 mph WHOOT I think I was 11 years old then?

O and bringing up another one from the past(thanks to CJC with the MZ comment) I had a Hodaka super rat 90 with the crome tank , what a job that thing was to keep running. I can remember way back when, a couple of us got to listing all the bike's we have owned, I quit at 28 bikes as I was way to drunk to remember all of them?

Sticking with my 'favourite' and 'current' bikes, apart from the SD, my favourite was this TL1000S, bought as a standard bike and evolved/modified over six years to this trick framed special. Featured in Performance bikes and streetfighters mags, I sold it two years ago to fund the SD purchase. I had one of those mates that said "If you ever sell it, give me first refusal" so I did and he bought it. He only lives a mile away and is my regular early Sunday morning blast pal, so I still see it regularly.

Image

My current bikes are the SD of course, and this newly finished project, Honda CB750F (872cc), here are the two of them, no doubt comparing notes and discussing how best to do me in!

Well I never had bikes as a kid and also due to my age my bike history is not that amazing , but when I was 21 passed my direct access and purchased a 2001 Hornet:
Image

Had this for a couple of years thought it was ace and a great first bike and got me into "naked" bikes.

Then bought this bargain a 2003 speed four 600cc great bike and first got my knee down on this .
Image

While I had the triumph I bought my first offroad bike a 2003 TM250 two stoke to keep me amused in the winter at off road tracks, awsome bike ohlins, renthals etc dripping in sexy parts loved playing on this.
Image
Sorry about pic quality dodgy camera.

Then sold the triumph and TM start of 07 to finance the current superduke.

I dont think its a bad selection for someone who has been riding 5 years??

Would like another off roader for winter though.... but no money

So never had a proper sports bike and to be honest im not a big fan, prefer my naked bikes.

SuperDan,

Very nice, Up until I had bought the SD, I had always had full faired bikes, now with the 07 SD, I cannot imagine anything else. I like to see the engine, the more I look the more I like. Especially nice when it is time to clean them up, little work in little time. That was NO rhyme. damn it I can't help it !!!Doop......
