460lbs, 160hp.. 50mm Marzocchi forks, Brembo monoblocs, Marchesini forged wheels, etc etc. Sounds stacked with quality parts as usual from Ducati, and that power and weight is unheard of in the cruiser market. Closest competition I assume would be the VROD with 120hp and 600lbs and the VMAX with 200hp and 630lbs, neither particularly agile bikes. Also the word is that Ducati worked with Pirelli to design a tyre specifically for this bike, they wound up with a 240mm section and apparently a nice round profile so it can still handle with a steam-roller mounted on the back.

I think it looks good and I can't wait to try one out. Its also super fun listening to die hard Ducati guys bitch and whine about it as if its the end of the company.

Asi stated in the original thread about this POS, i cant believe Ducati are taking this route!

Ducati have also made huge sales off the back of racing success (racing improves the breed etc) and now theyve pulled out of WSB and are coming out with that????

What on earth are they thinking? it seems Ducati no longer have Italian passion and flare and only seem interested in $$$$$$$

Does Ducati make a dirt bike?[/quote]

No - they have pretty much always made sports bikes and so by making a cruiser are going away from their roots in the same way KTM did when they started making road bikes like the Superduke.

Not at all my cup of tea. I like more and more the new Monster 1100. Too bad they lie in a Ducati dealership.

Saw it at the Toronto motorcycle show yesterday... though it was roped off and you couldn't touch or sit on it (lame).

Looks great IMO, that rear tyre is sweet. It was the carbon model with all the goodies. I liked it in the press pics and I really like it in person.

Now to ride one....
