If E85 energy output is less than petrol why would you run it in a bike? Is this what is causing the plastic fuel tank problems?
This fuel is generally not available in Oz yet. Does all fuel in the US caontail a quantity of ethanol?
From what ive heard we will be having the same problems within the next 3 years DOH!!
Ethanol based crap fuel!!
no we wont, luckily the government didnt think far enough ahead and we cant actually produce enough ethanol to create the E85
acerbis make the monster plastic tank and the others, who makes the KTM one?

paul.

My friend has an '08 SD. He took tank off and couldn't get it back on. Dealer says ethanol warped tank when it was off. New tank being ordered. (I think under warranty, but not sure.)

I did notice after I posted that the VP stuff was using ethanol,, the ticket still would be the C2 and a call to a supplier is the thing to do they may sell it in the 5 gallon jug's,, as I said when I inquired into the stuff when leaded fuel became extinct at the pump, they wanted a "bulk" buy of 300 gallons to start, then whatever you wanted, myself and a couple of friends were set to go , then the thing about a permit for that quantity came up and safe storage, right now I have just that in the form of a "hazardus ,materials containment locker" with the fire surpression ports, a double walled thing that i got off a job site a few years ago, if I had bought it it would have cost about a grand.,,, as for AV gas I tried to do that, but ,two small airports said they wouldn't sell it to the general publick, and certainly not let you put it in 5 gallon cans, the guy at the last one said it was "formulated" differently to atomize at altitude through the fuel system , but that is as far as I got with the stuff,, see what your dealer says about getting some, mine has it for sale in the 5 gallon jugs ,I think I heard FED EX ships it as well ,but not sure , a contact is in order,,,
The Stabil that I just purchased said it worked with E10 "enhanced" fuel.
Used to be able to pull up to the local Sunoco station and buy 112 octane race gas. We did it every week on the way to the drag strip.
Not sure where to get race gas here now tho.
Aside from being for sale in 5 gal cans at the GNCC races, I don't know of a local supplier.
