Watched the Top Gear DVD over Christmas which was not very good, but Hamster rides a Ducati DAVE , in France. Of course they are restricted to 100 BHP in France, so I bet they were over the moon to see the rest of the world getting full powered 1290's

Yeaaahhh 106 hp here but lot of bikers don't give a shit

For example I don't give a shit... A ride all my bikes in there worldwide versions... Anyway we can not buy Honda to do that because there policy in "bridage" force us to buy a new ecu to get reed of it.

In other brands It's just a cable to cut or plug to ground.

No controls at all only problem could be with insurrance on a big crash if speed is the cause but if electronic is damaged no way to proove it

It's stupid anyway and maybe abandoned in a few years thanks to Europe.

I always found this to be discrimination, if you want a law like this it should be on all vehicles, cars included.
Wouldn't last long this way....

Anyway cars in here are not like us ones... Power is from 70 to 115 hp for 80% of cars so no need for limitations...

And for cars with lot of power there are taxes up to 10000$ on it because more power is more fuel consumption so more polution...

After that you have to pay for the registration papers of the car (carte grise) which is indexed on horse power and state (70 hp means 120€ where I live but 200 hp means 400$)

After that you pay 1.50€ / litre of sp95 so with sd and his 10L/100 kms It's not that good

But I feel lucky could be worst... Poor Danish have to pay 30000€ for a superduke because there hell of a country double price of bikes with taxes
