If you know who Genelec are then you dont need me to tell you about these speakers.

If you dont: they are top quality professional (proper pro not some crappy make that falsely claims it as such) near field monitors.

Basically it's a shamless plug for my ebay auction in case anyone on here appreciates/needs this sort of thing.

cheers

I have a pair of the version before those. Brilliant speakers!

+1. Serious listening tools. Not cheap. Worth every penny. Or pfennig.

K&H is my favorite. Even more $$.

M&Ks are no slouch - I hope you are using Bryston or Halfler amps - or some esoteric (read: expensive) class AA amps that will push some air.
Genelecs (and most other active monitors) are truly overkill for home use, unless you have a theater or are making mix decisions at home.
I have been using Blue Sky monitors for about 6 years now, and they are really accurate & easy to listen to for long periods (5.1 & stereo).

Have got some M&K K series jobbies.....not top spec models but for the size of cab they fit beautifully into my set up. I WISH I could afford Bryston!! Have you got any idea how much those bastards are over here? I cant even get the money to buy them for my cinema (at work) let alone home!

Dream gear though!

At least my sub is an M&K pro series job....twin 8" push/pull drivers with more headroom than I've ever tested, its sound is like all great pussy: tight and deep. My neighbours love me !
