Recently been away for a week with the girfriend somewhere in Europe.

Had to take the car, as the girlfriend wouldn't go that far on the back of the bike! 2000 miles in 9 days.

Oh and they have a mystical orange factory there

Got to the factory at 11am on the Friday. We asked at the shop if there were any factory tours. They said they run them on Fridays, but todays had already finished! They start at 8.30 in the morning...not very tourist friendly Was good to see it from the outside anyway, just a shame I wasn't there on my bike. Although I guess the bike has already been there before

The factory has a strange set of rules, especially for the assembly line part of the plant. I have visited the factory many times as a KTM N/A

employee (which is owned by KTM Austria) but the last time I visited (2007) you were not allowed into the assembly line area, period! We had to

wait until after hours and we were escorted by a high level customer service rep and even then he was questioned and we were not allowed to

take any pictures.

Most of the factory workers are from other countries and did not like pictures and people walking through the plant as they worked.

The engine plat, radiator plant and frame plant were all fine and welcomed us through...
