Or gravity is gonna hit you in the face like a bitch ^^

I always always check but this morning I forgot and guess what ??? Side stand was up (it is always down but 2 days ago I cleaned the grease out of it) !

The bike is fine, got lucky and nothing broke (proud appart)

My security cam got all the scene

Been there. Done that to my SV 650. Makes u wanna kick your own ass.
Broke one of the SV's turn signals.
Comrade: Only today I had my hand on the rear stand to drop the bike off. Fortunately, I checked the side-stand and discovered it was up
Always check it

Murphy's law : it is always gonna be down... The one time you are not gonna check it will shurely be up !

I always always check it.. too paranoid not to ...lol
Saying that I nearly came unstuck getting off the SD990 one morning months ago.
The sidestand hadn't deployed properly.... the one time I didn't check it before trying to get off. I just caught it an inch from the ground. Only got a scuff on the handlebar end... phew !.
ah hahahahah! well done! last time that happened to me was 20 years ago. i pulled to a stop on my 748, i was talking to someone. then, distracted, i just got off the bike while still talking and didnt even deploy the stand, dropped it right there, lol.
it had these knock off mirrors that were supposed to pop off (they had designed a shear screw that was suppose to sacrifice itself...), but instead broke the magnesium fairing stay they were attached to %&^@$#&(*&%*$$$!!!!!!
