Did I read that graph correctly? 9 out of 10 Americans have guns? HOLY FECK!! I think more of you guys need to move to Australia
Well, if you're going to have one, may as well make it a big one.

Glock is the most reliable hand gun out there. Go with a 9mm Glock 17. The 17 has the fastest recovery time between shots fired and the least felt recoil when compared to other Glock models.
The Glock 22 .40cal has the same frame as the Glock 17. Therefore more recoil is felt. Same frame bigger bullet. The recoil with the Glock 22 will feel more poppy or snappy compared to the 17 causing slower recovery time. Greater wrist break.
The .45cal actually shoots better than the .40cal because there is more gun to soak up all that recoil. Shot placement will be tightest with either the 9mm or the .45cal. The only draw back about the .45cal is the pistol grip is larger than the 17 and 22. the .45cal obviously holds less ammo as well.
FBI ballistics test have proven that with a JHP there is only about a 1/2 inch difference in penetration between all three calibers when shot into gellatin covered with three layers of clothing.
Glock is simple. Theres no levers or safeties on it to confuse you when you get into a gun fight and you have the adrenaline comming out your ears. Just point and shoot. Just remember to keep your finger straight and off the trigger untill your target has been aquired.
