I'm not anywhere near there, but I know they have a way better evac plan in place this time around, with national guard already in Louisiana. The cities are closed to incoming traffic and outgoing vehicles are using both inbound and outbound lanes to evacuate. They have 1000's of buses transporting people out. They will also get a free ride back into the cities afterwards. I filled up the bike, my durango, my fit/jazz, and my work truck today. I know gas will be at 5 a gallon come next week. I love how it this hurricane will be making landfall at the same time as the republican national convention. If these retards had any brains in their pale white haired heads, they will postpone the debacle that will be the republican convention. Good luck to any members in and around the Gulf area.
We'll also get to see whether those new levies will hold. I say they won't. The corp of engineers will again be under a microscope by the world. We'll see. IMO that lake will spill all over New Orleans all over again. But this time, no one will want to rebuild. I just hope it misses New Orleans, but then it will hit somewhere else. It just bad news any way you slice it.
