Mate of mine had both his KTM and his race spec R1 nicked by scumbags from his van at the weekend - Monday 2am. This was at a local B&B at East Harling near Snetterton. He was there for a track day.

The Rozzers were on it quickly and he got the R1 back but not the KTM.

PM me or call the police if you see or hear of an EXC 400 orange reg CX02 BVS with gold wheels, no head light but does have a rear light.
Of the two bikes, my mate would have preferred they had found the KTM - it was gifted to him by a mate passing away a few years ago.

Thanks guys.

Well what do you know. My mate got a call from the fuzz at the weekend and the bike has just been reunited with the owner. Yep. The police did a great job. Tracked it through several eBay sales and called him up to collect it from them today. It's in better nick than when they took it. The last guy in the line will be gutted though. Probably a complete innocent. Paid for it and then had it taken away. My mate is beaming. The last four transactions were all in Birmingham apparently. Good news. Thought I'd share.
Nice to hear a happy ending!

...am I missing something ....this 2 years 10 months after it was nicked!!!!

Glad to hear he has it back.....but the insurance must have paid out.....or ...(sound of penny dropping) .......it was not insured?

Hope the scrots caught something very nasty
Yep yep. Two years and ten months ago. And get this. Someone has heaped big love on the bike since. It's in better condition than when it went, with new plastics, paint, pegs and so on. Will update when I hear more.
I had my first Superduke stolen in 2006. Never recovered
Insurers refused to pay out cos it wasn't garaged the night it was lifted
You mean I might see it again sometime
