KTM SM

I am looking at getting a KTM SM (as well as my SD) looking to pay £2k - £3k

640 or 625 ? I would really like 660 but I want electric start ...what are the Pros and Cons..

I rode a m8s 950SMR to the BSB today as my headers aren't fixed yet. Man I had a proper laugh and through traffic and in town it was a hoot. I would also love a SM or SMC but I would fear for my licence. They are impossible to ride sensibly.

Having owned a few different LC4 SM bikes my suggestion would be to get a 625 with the FCR carb and electric start. The carb makes a huge difference in how these bikes feel. I retrofitted an FCR on one of my bikes but it wasn't cheap.

I'd go for an SMR or EXC conversion, but I'm biased

625 SMC mate i owned one for a couple of years and then stupioly sold it on once i got the SDR i should have just left it in the corner of the garage for a few years. As a quick thrapp around the twisties bike they are hard to beat,i had full factory headers and can with all the mods and it flew

If I didn't live in London I could be very very tempted by a SMC. I would be banned in a max of 2 months if I had one here. Impossible to ride sensibly.

Picked it up.....bit worried becuse it had been kept out side (under covers) some of the bolts are rusty....

He started the motor.....sounded lovely very quiet .... the deal was done

Here are some pictures ....I set up the suspension.. went for a 100 mile run (pouring rain) it has Dunlop Mutants on ....much better than expected ........went down the most Bumpy, twisty, crap surfaced roads Somerset and Devon could offer ...... .LOVED IT
