#3Yeah it really is dead. Not many SD/R being sold now. Maybe pickup a bit in the summer but I think it's going to be like this until the 1290 comes out. Those will be exciting times!

#5Think we have lost a few posters recently.
Twisted Jester, BASH69, Motoronin and Stupid Luke turned to the darkside and spams the KTM forum now (and they are just the ones that spring to mind).
Allways quiet in (our) winter though.

#6Thing is the SD is 7-8 years old, and has not really changed, the forum has pretty much answered every conceivable question and if you search for the answer you can generally find it and that generally does not mean you have to sign up. Many people say when they join they have lurked for ages but not posted.
Sometimes if you link to a thread saying "look here" it kinda closes that particular thread, so I often try to answer stuff even if I have heard it before because it keeps a conversation and the forum going (but links do help), and how often does a thread start as something and then just change completely in another tangent, quite often which is another reason.
Im sure when the next SD comes out in 2018 it will start all over and refresh the forum about which colo(u)r is fastest again.

#11I still log on every day at some time to see what's going on. But like has been said, most of the fixes and mods have been covered and no one is doing anything else that hasn't already been done.
Most of my posts from the last 18 months have been to do with niggling problems and maintenance subjects and this year I've hardly done any riding so nothing has happened. My garage sounds like the crickets this year

#21As I am new to the forum, it is refreshing to see that so many are willing to help a new owner of a bike design that is a little long in the tooth. Many members on forums of aged designs are less considerate and the "do a search" phrase is used way to often. Thanks to the members for there consideration for old questions and new owners. #24I check this site everyday... just haven't had much to post really. I'm still riding the SDR, though I commute on my GSXR.
