#2I think it has to do with either ads (come to think of it I don't think i've ever seen ads on this site actually) or possibly to catch search terms or something. I think most forums have a google bot on them. It's a program, not an actual person.
On topic though: I think a lot of people lurk this forum, mostly as guests though.
