So, no KTM it seems this year. If its a shit day on Sunday i might pop along though just to prevent boredom and say Hi to the Normandy guys who will be there with their stall.

Anyone else planning on going?

Going Friday with Bobiaggi ( the 77 year old nutter I ride with who has just bought an RSV4). Usually I would expect my dashing good looks and suave wit to pull at least one promo girl but how will I manage that with the old git in tow? We are going to look like Steptoe and Son. That old fooker must be Aprilia's oldest customer, if Max Biaggi is the Roman emperor Bob must be the Roman pensioner.

Still, I like to get the old bugger out of the house now and then.....and ensure my position in his will

Most of the blokes I ride with have italian bikes this year. Unless TJ shows up it will be like being chased by the mafia. If he does, it will be like being chased by the axis partners

I'm going to try and make it but not sure what day. Got to fit it round kids and family and work and all the rest of stuff that gets in the way of motorbikes. I go every year thinking I'm going to find a bargain and get a bit closer to the world of bikes but mostly the NEC and Excel always leave me a bit underwhelmed. I always want to see the small specialist companies that used to frequent these shows but nowadays it's just all the big manufacturers with bikes that I've seen before, cues of wannabies sitting on the demos and the ubiquitous firms like Powerbronze etc, who just sell generic crap that you see advertised in all the mags anyway. But I will drag myself along because there are so few things targeted at us anyway and you've got to show your face!

And honestly. I find the oranged skinned promo birds a bit... I don't know... embarassing.
