Most beautiful bike EVER designed/built. Poll/project.

Right lads, i did this on another forum once upon a time and it was a great set of threads.

Basically i need 32 people to vote for the most beautiful bike ever made, it goes into a hat and 2 are drawn randomly each day. They battle it out head to head in a poll to go into the next round.... this carries on until we have 1 winner.

My vote will be the first of 32 bikes chosen and will be the winner from the other place i did this thread.... It is the Ducati 916. Simply because it's a stunning machine if you ask me. Lovely lines, beautiful design and a timeless classic.

The only rule is... This bike must be 'fairly' standard... You can have cans/rearsets... i'll even let you have paintwork.. but 'fairly' standard please. Race bikes and Custom bikes are allowed.

it's few years old, but still looks amasing IMO.

this is a very hard choice, with so many beauties out there, each in it's own way. how can you compare clasic beauty of indian scout to bimota db7, or ecosse heretic to rolls royce y2k, or Britten? then there are prototypes that never made it to production, limited production etc...

for me very important is the 'scarsity', even though 916 is a beauty, i've seen it too many times, and it lost it's appeal...

yes, britten is great, and the guy was a genius - no question about it. even more so when you consider it was build in 1987 (i think?). when you compare it to the 80's jap bikes, or any 80's bike - WOW. when i first saw it (on TV) in 1990, my jaw dropped, and i'm pretty sure i came in my pants just a little. 20 yrs later, only the plastics are looking dated, if you have a closer look, most manufacturers are still nowhere near that. However, only 10 or 15 were ever made, and it's highly unlikely one of us mortals will ever get to own, or even ride one.

Sooo, after much consideration, i think the best looking, obtainable bike (both production #'s and $$) would have to be SDR. Black, with orange frame. Absolutely gorgeous!
Now that SDR finally got here, i'm torn - do i get one, taking a big hit on my pocket, or do i stay with my 'ordinary' SD? Life. Its full of difficult choices
