Most extreme thing

Guys,

I've just come back from doing my second half-ironman: 1.9km swim, 90km bike, 21.1km run. That has been, so far, the most phisically demanding thing I've ever done. And, after doing this second one, I can only say the human body is an amazing thing, there's always some extra energy.

How about you?.. like to push the limits of your body?.. what's the most extreme thing you've done, or would like to do?..
The commando course.
Congratulations on your race.

I ran a 65 km cross country race and came in second. It was a huge emotional high.

I prefer shorter runs where I can take my dog, but am still glad I did it.

As far as motorsports go, I just got back from the Baja peninsula (Cabo) where 6 of us did 600 miles in Baja race buggies.

It was a fully supported tour done by "Wide Open Baja". They put us up in first class resorts and had great support crews to keep it all going.

Truly a huge adrenaline rush but felt way too dangerous. We were hitting huge washouts, and buzzing past rock and cactus at speeds up to 90mph.

One time, many years ago, I played a Playstation game for an entire day. I woke up and put it on, played for an hour, had breakfast, played for a few hours, had a bath, played more, had lunch. Then I played it more before dinner. After that I played it all night until going to bed again at about 4am. In all I clocked up 15 hours gameplay of that masterful game. I had no contact with any other person that day, I was totally focussed on my goal and in a state of zen-like meditation for much of the day. Truly, it was a legendary day and one I'll never forget. Chances like that dont come by very often in life, you've got to grab them when they pass by or they will be gone forever. Pushing the limits of endurance, mental focus, emotional strength are what let you know you really are alive. Character building challenges make life a better experience and set a good example to others who lack the confidence to push hard.

It was Final Fantasy VII.

When I went to bed, I could see the screen imprinted on my retinae.
