i am not a big fan of Brian Catterson. I did not like him when he wrote for Cycle World, and I don't like some of the content he approves as the editor in chief for Motorcyclist. His smarmy arrogance comes through in just about everything he writes, and he seems to attract writers who think and act like he does. I used to read the magazine from cover to cover, now I skip articles written by people like James Parker...whose look-at-me-and-what-I-have-done articles bore me. does anyone but him really care that he invented the failed Suzuki GSX-RADD forkless motorbike prototype. i don't think so.

Since taking over M-cyclist, Catterson has made the mag increasingly west-coast centric, and has alienated many riders from other parts of America. I point to his slamming of MotoGP in Indianapolis as an example, but there are countless other examples found in cycling gear or motorcycling events reviews.

I think Dexter Ford is a good, honest, thoughtful writer...and Catterson dismissing him over telling the truth does not surprise me.
