DribbleDuke
There has been many a thought of moving on. I have tried a sluogh of bikes in the last seven years. The economy was such that the hit from the loss was still reasonable with a quick turn around, ussually a year. I tried a VTR 1000, a FJR 1300, a DL 1000, a DRZ 400, a V-Star 1100, a KTM Duke II, a KLR 650, a SV 650, a nother DL 1000, some of these bikes were in the garage at the same time allong with an Interceptor a CB 750 a RD 200 a KZ 440 a XR 350. My point is that there is a portion of motorcycling or should I say motorcycle trying that wants to try differant adventures. Slower, dirtier, faster, whatever, just something as a change. This has been entering my daydreams as of late. My next bike dream is a Triumph Scrambler. This is not to be considered as a direct replacement as I know that they are completely differant beasts. The trouble is that I am strugling with the moneys to dive into my next venture and as such the idea of selling the SD as a way of making the new dirrection a reality, keeps entering the equation. That is until I get on the SD and ride it. Then it hits me like a red brick. I would be sacrificing the absolute best bike, to ride, than I have ever been on. I told my son today that I do not believe that a bike could ever be better for the all around pleasure of just plain tomfoolery riding. If and when I have such a brain freeze that I get rid of the SD. It will not take 3 and 1/2 days for me to start the as kicking on myself, that I would deserve. Who else has the cheating heart and who has sold and come back swearing they would never be unfaithful again.
