... And let the bashing begin naked lovers:

Say hello to the BMW 2015 R1200R. Try not to be too shocked when one blows past you on your 990. No whining about it lacking "character" either.

BMW is just killing it in the unfaired category; first the class-interrupting S1000R, then the RNineT, and now this. Oh, and there is also faired version of the above.
No whining, bashing, or shock from me. Outfuckingstanding! Now just bring back the R1200S...
Fookin ugly, and wtf is that above the headlight
I can say aesthetically I have never like the looks of the boxer engine or the moto guzzi engine. But have heard that those motors are very reliable. I'm sure that is a great motorcycle, but since motorcycles aren't very practical and are more emotional based mode of transportation. Looks play a large role in one's "feelings" about a particular motorcycle. So for me, something as stupid and simple as the engine layout stops me from properly appreciating a probably great motorcycle.
i feel the same way, the flat twin, BMWs in general just dont move me at all, and they sound like crap!!!
triples dont either oddly enough. Inlines, ive taken a looong test ride on the S1000RR and the latest GSXR 1000 and they are stupifyingly fast but they just dont move me. after discovering V twins they just gelled with me for some reason, same with singles, the vibes have never bothered me.
The only reason I'd ever get a boxer twin is the valve checks must be stupidly easy with exposed heads like that.

I like the half faired one more.
I will always love the boxers. To me that bike is beautiful and nearly perfect, except for the weird tacked-on gauge cluster or whatever that is. It's true that they do not sound cool, but "sounding cool" is really not on the list of features that those owners are looking for. This one might sound cool, though:
