somehow looking at this picture:

makes me think of this:

I think it's because of the mirrors.
Reading about how it feels like a il4 makes me think of this image i came across a few days ago:

Explains why it feels like a il4, it has no midrange compared to the 1198
The video is nuts. I love the head shake and redline LEDs.
Looks fast.
Two of my friends returned today from the world press test launch at Abu Dhabi.
Going strictly from the dyno chart, it appears Ducati wanted to make an inline 4.
Heard from one of my friends this morning. He says it's absolutely the best bike he's ever ridden, and he's ridden more than a few.
I got a good look at this bike at the international motorcycle show last weekend, it's certainly beautiful.. I would love to try one out since I rode a RC8R last summer, it would be fun to see the differences
Not a bike I would ever or could afford, sounds fab though. Not seen one in the flesh.

So what are those black hose type things coming out the fork adjusters by the top yoke?

How does that work then? you press a button and it changes it to track settings or sommat? Sounds fandangly.

i did wonder what a set of sex toys were doing hanging on top of the forks
that dyno chart is all wrong, the torque and horsepower curves should cross over at 5252rpm, not up at 7200 rpm, someone is fudging the figures somewhere.

For the first time in 2 years I bought MCN to read the launch report.

I love this bike.

I get what he's saying.
You can have the two lines cross each other at any rpm you want. Just change the scale on the right or left hand side.
What the graph shows to me is how extremely peaky the new bike is.
If you ask me this is not how a twin should be.
This only applies if this graph is the real deal.
theres a MCN youtube review on the Panigale... very interesting review...
I truely admit, love at first sight for this bike.. (thinking to add 1 more )...
Hook me up for an import?

It is a work of art. Sat on it the MCN show and it felt fantastic. Even if I could afford one, which I certainly can't, chucking £20k of a bike that good looking down the track would always be on my mind. One thing's for sure. It's not going to crash like an SD.

Just leaves me feeling as cold as a very cold thing
I'm certainly starting to warm up to it.....

Can't wait to see how much they plan on asking for the standard model. If it's RC8R money.....whoooaaaaa.

And I'd still pop for a slightly used 1098R first.

Its appearance is not growing on me, and I simply don't trust anything Italian with that much electronics/electrical.

Another vid here of Neil Hodgson on the bike. The fork view really shows the suspension working but it comes so close to bottoming out a couple of times
