Hey guys,

I was a winner in a photographic competition. I'm so chuffed I thought I'd share it with you all.

Very cool. It's a great photo. I'm always amazed how someone can take a picture of something and make it mean something more than just the thing photographed.

Very nice Danno, I like how the almost monochrome rocks make the subtle greens and yellows stand out.

Some awesome pics on here guys. Very impressed with the standard and I used to do it for a living. Here is a comp of 8 frames that i retouched together to make a view of Rio. In the days when i was actually quite good with Photoshop.

Some P&S cameras can hit 50 ISO but 400 is fine as a max. The main thing is to try and shoot at the lowest ISO you can whilst maintaining your shot composure TJ....so sense shooting at 100 ISO if it's going to be blurry from long exposure in low light.

LOL at Klinck, he's old school, it hasnt been known as ASA for years mate. All those film skills are going to waste...what a shame. Even the large/medium format photographer who shoots our exhibitions at work now uses digital backs to his Hassle....the market demands it. Massive resolutions though...39 Mega pix and £10k just for the sensor....double that if you want the Hassle on the front of it
I can go as low as 100, what I have it set on now is an auto 400, so it should choose anything between 100 and 400.

I just set it on that as a starting block but if you think lower I can change, the pictures that were causing us problems are indoor shots with flash, we have to use flash as keeping the boy still is not really an option and longer exposure just means blurred images
