Well, I have just got home to read this and feel I should post something up to honour our friend Colonel Klink who has been such a prominent member of this site for so long and done a great job of moderating, sorting out issues and generally always speaking up against stupidity, bigotry, inflammatory posts and generally keeping a fair eye on the forum.
He's been a fan of the SD since I met him and spent many hours trying to keep up with him and Shade round Essex and Finchingfield. He rode his '06 like a lunatic on the roads until he sort of realised that he was either going to die or get banned for speeding. His capacity for fast riding appeared to be insatiable and all the time plugged into his beloved i-tunes to which he rocked along. Eventually the racing bug took hold and he transferred his passions to the track having considerable success with Stalker in some sort of endurance racing, (I forget what exactly). They have both since taken up with the disreputable band of track day organisers called No Limits where they continue to thrash their SD's into submission along with their other toys.
Over the years I've seen Klinky do what he does best, that is be the life and soul of a gathering, deliver enthusiastic and genuine help whenever it's asked of him, lend a hand whenever it's required and generally be a top bloke.
Thank you, Craig, for all your efforts to make this site a better place. It's people like you that make it worth being a part of.
And welcome to jmann as a mod. He's already got what it takes so well done for stepping up.
