There's no obsession, but I guess many of us grew up with kids' puppet shows on TV and so they have a place in our hearts

I think you may have to be a Northerner to "get" some of the humour therein.

Most of us on here grew up in the 70's. Our children's TV consisted of 90% puppets. (We only had 3 channels)
And that was before the Muppet Show existed.
It takes us back....
