R VS Standard?

I have an opportunity to buy either one at a good price - I do not want to race this bike - I do want to ride it - I want to be able to have some degree of comfort - the seat I can fix on the R - what about the suspension? Can it be softened up enough?

I weigh 135 before riding gear -obviously the sex factor of the R is amazing - and the price differential is well worth it - but is the coomfort there and the rideability for the REAL world there?

Please help this new guy make a wise decisionn
