I don't live there, but have been several times. Barber Motorsports Park has a tremendous track, and while there you get to go see the museum which is incredible. 4 stories of great motorcycles/history. They have a complete restoration shop on the basement floor where they can even fabricate parts as needed. They also have a library of motorcycle books that is gigantic. Apparently you can see the library with permission but I've not. http://barbermuseum.org/

I have been there also. It is a great place to put on a must see while in the area, but a little removed for a standard overseas tour. Your best bet is to do a track day and visit during a sanctiond race. Judging from your rebuild posts and the cleanlyness of your garage stall and work areas, you would greatly apreciate the build room, which is veiwable from the museum. If you go, drop the wifey off somewhereselse unless she, one has tremendous patience, or two she absolutly loves the art of the motorcycle or you may end up feeling a little rushed.
I went to the Gugenheim Art of the motorcyle exibit in Vegas and that was a swell experiance also.
