Yep, they're Arsholes, especially the GS Ewen McBooringman wannabes.

Was sat in the ferry queue in June in front of a small group of them, they spent the whole time comparing accessories and that each of their's was better than the others.

Got speaking to one of them and they were using all of their accessories to stay in the mountains of Northern Portugal and 'hope to do 500-600 miles of touring that week'.

They didn't think I'd be going far on my Hayabusa as it wasn't suitable for 2 up touring like their BM's were - they were a bit shocked when I told them I'll be by the pool in the Algarve this time tomorrow - that's 700 miles away, no GPS, heated grips, armoured luggage; just throwovers, tankbag and a map.

I had (well still have but trying to sell) a 320D BMW car, it was a friend's company car & I bought 2 years ago because it was cheap and I was poor; it's a very OK car, well built nice touches/extras but not enough to get wet about because of the badge. To me I just needed a reliable diesel but you wouldn't believe how many owners told me I didn't have leather/6 speed gear box/upgraded stereo etc.

Years ago I looked at a M3 and the salesman asked what I thought, I said it felt sluggish compared to an Impreza I was also looking at to which he replied - 'but it's a M3 sir'. So what? I bought a Scooby.
