Thanks for your replies, folks, they're really appreciated (no one on KTMtalk could be bothered).
The honda forum wondered why I bought them in the first place if I like what KTM marketing promotes... this was my reply, in case it helps:
I didn't buy the Hondas - they were given to me by my Dealer in exchange for my first bike (Triumph Rocket III) which had leprosy. They said Hondas don't fall apart, and so far I've only lost one screw (rear footpeg) off the CBF, so that's good.
Trouble is, I didn't exactly choose the bikes and after a Rocket, everything feels under-powered.
Since I've only been riding for 2 years I don't think I have the experience to know whether any motorbike will be 'better' than the CBF on its own - let alone two bikes and £4k.
I can't get my head around the KTM on a test-ride: I think its so different it'd need about 800 miles to get used to (like each of my other bikes have needed).
I'm hoping that someone here or on the KTM site may have owned a CBF and a KTM and can tell me if its really worth so much more...
