Does anyone know this guy? Was he a member on here.

From what I read he gave the bike a handfull in the paddock coming back from noise testing. He wasn't wearing a helmet and the bike spat him off. Fractured skull and was in a bad way. Was saddened to read the fella lost his battle and passed away. A sad loss for such a simple mistake.

51 year old fella called Martin - can't say I've spotted many Martins on here but people often don't mention their real names...

my thoughts go to his family - a real shame
Oh god, so sad. RIP fella.

There is a Martyn on here. "Monty" Hope he's ok.... Although he would be using his R1 for track use.
Yeah Monty is the only guy I can think of. I thought he stopped riding the SD on track though since buying the R1 track bike. RIP who ever it was. Tragic way to go.
Well Ginge is a Martin too, but sure its not him either, other than Monty I dont know any others.

Very sad

Plus I think he would roll better and be a softer landing

Kinda glad it was not an SD but still bad news
Hitting a tractor wheel at 60mph, while being hit from behind by another bike and rider didn't finish the old boy off. He's made of tough stuff is Ginge.

Still couldn't pass for a 51 year old though

Edit:I have edited the thread title.
Very sad news indeed....... RIP chap and may your ducati travel on its back wheel on the big race track in the sky......
