My cousin took my std geared 07 out for a quick ride yesterday, about 30min - Came back raving about hitting 250kph.

I told him this was impossible, maybe his head was bobbing around too much to see. That the max the bike (not ME) can go (indicated) is 241kph - HELL NO says Rossi's Superior, it's because I'm much bigger than him and that he's more aerodynamic and tucks better. Got quite worked up before I said yeah whatevah...

Okay folks, you heard it from him - the fooking rev limiter will stop working if you're a small guy!!!!

Whilst stopped at a BK/Little Chef car park one summer this happened. My chicadee and her friend, both on GSX-Rs had parked up very close to each other, and for some reason I was parked some 5 or so places across the car park. These two SuperHero Transformers roll up on their plastic superbikes (you know, the Motrax catalogue, loud exhausts, cheap leathers, expensive race-rep-helmet, etc). They spot the Nürburgring stickers on the two GSX-Rs, and started making friendly with the ladies.
Now, these guys knew the 'Ring all right!! They go there "all the time" (and in 7 years I've never seen them ). They said they had "season tickets" (should be year ticket or more correctly Jahresausweis)... but what was the most gobsmacking fact they told the ladies was that.
"You better get there at the end of this season. There's going to be a big party there because they're changing the Northloop. They're going to cut half of it off and make a track in between."

There you have it guys! They're going to cut the 'Ring in half and we're going to party because they do it... needless to say we didn't rush to the party and seveal years later the 'Ring is still very close to it's original 1927 incarnation.

my mate says hes always backing it in n spinning out, funny as we always ride together and never seen any of that. although he might do it whilst im waiting at the cafe for him

Had a guy I used to work with and he'd always done everything you'd done but better.

Most of the time I just used to nod my head and let him get on with it.

One time he was going on about how his Fazer 6 is the same engine as an R6, to which I said yes a detuned version, he argued that I was wrong of course, and then a couple days later I came up next to him at a set of lights on the way to work and then proceeded to spank him severely over the rest of the journey on my vfr400.

At work there were lots of excuses but after that day he made no mention of his bike engine again.
