GSP won a decision after 5 rounds of not so exciting action. GSP either got eye poked or caught in the eye by a glove and struggled with vision out of his left eye for the later rounds. One judge scored it 50 - 45 so it was never in doubt.

wow, thats some seriously conditioned toes he's got there, I bet Couture was expecting a kick to the side of the head when the leg came up, not stright through the middle of his guard!!

Agreed shade, when he faked with the rear kick it looked like the start of a conventional "switch kick" - this confirmed by Lisa who knows all about this!

I about fell over when Machida landed that kick!!! I NEVER thought I would see the Crane Technique used in an MMA fight.

That was AWESOME!

The GSP/Shields fight on the other hand, was a total snooze-fest. They both played it very safe. Yawn.

It was awesome. Wax on, wax off Machida. I love these "un-tradional" fighters, like him and Joe Jones.
