I know I have only justy joined, but bear with me on this one, its interesting.

At Sunrise on 21st June myself and 22 other idiots will depart John o' Groats and hope to make it to Land's End by sunrise on the 22nd to raise cash for Cancer Research. Not so difficult you might think.....

Ok here are the details, NO motorways, a set route, no satnav (it takes you off the route, guys got lost doing this last year) and this is the good bit....

...the bikes we are doing it on must cost less than £300 total, including repairs. i initially came in under budget by £29, but then the CDI blew (twice!), the reg/rec blew, etc, etc. So I will be suffering some sort of forfeit ( last year an inflatable crocodile rode pillion with one bloke for the full journey ) and I have put the £85 overspend in as a donation.

here are some pics of my mighty steed, a 1990 Yamaha XJ900F, 68000 miles and it both looks and feels like it has done every single one of the miles in a hard manner.

Thank you very much for reading, Jason
It sounds like a blast. Have fun and post up your travails from the travel. I am sure we would all love to hear your story.
Thanx for caring
