The weather here in the last three weeks has completly gone downhill , today's snowfall has put the total here at 55 inches, every three day's more,, now they say that "Artic Air" is moving in with morning low's -5 to -10 below,,, followed by another storm Tuesday night into Wednesday,,,, global warming my ass freezzing my ass is now my pastime as it took 5 hours today to clean up 4 driveways,,, how's the weather where you are and we don't need to here from you Cali guy's,, you'll get your's , floods , mud, fire and brimstone is heading your way and you know your "overdue" for you know what and you guy's "down under" we know what you need is a "sump pump,,,, just some snowfall totals in your neck of the woods,, is England back nto balmy
I have decided that snow is for children. Go play (in the snow) are words to a childs ears. I remember the snows of 69 in Ma. iDrifts to six feet and I was a pig in shit . Hadan auditor out from St, Louis today said he got 18" last night. Quakes cause carpentry needs, shake away. Hang tough Maddog the humidity is right around the corner. Freezing and dry or hot and wet, just a mass of two shits.
I know you don't want to hear it, but it was 80 degrees earlier this week. Although it did chill down quite a bit to 70 degrees today.

And the only shaking from "you know what" will be from the pipes of my superduke.

damn I'm a dick.
It's back to what we call "taking the piss weather" in the UK.
Monday is generally grey as fook all day with a bit of rain or drizzle thrown in, the Sun is a long distant memory.
Tuesday/Wednesday are about the same but slowly improving.
Thursday its actually dry all day and the roads start to slowly dry out.
Friday is really quite a pleasant-ish day for Jan, one might even say warm. The sun even comes out for a few hours in the afternoon and what's more the roads are dry! You of course fall into the trap of thinking you might get out for a blast tomorrow Image
Wake up Sat and I'll be fooked, its sunny out there but still a tad cold, better leave it a hour or 2. Oh baby the bikes coming out though Image By 10 it's cloudy and by 11 it's raining. Sun comes out about 2 just to mock you, as there is 0% chance of the roads drying out before it's dark.
Sunday it rains.
Repeat..
I want to post some pics of my driveway. The banks on either side are chest high. If we get more on Tuesday I don't knowv that I will have a place to put it.

It's like I'm living in f***ing Alaska or Saskatchewan...
thats saome cold weather, where i work in Australia its getting upto and beyond 46 degree celcius. but where i live is struggling for 30c.
Round 32C here and it's been raining a fair bit in the last few days. Like walking around in a sauna all the time.
I'm in the Alps and we haven't had a decent snowfall in weeks, closest we got was 7 cm 2 weeks ago

I hear in Morzine the ski hire shops are hiring out mountain bikes as they have no snow either !
Mountian bikes fook that! I'd just swallow the cost of flights and accommodation and not go. Put the money you save into a long weekend trip when some snow returns.
Yup. Running out of patience with the weather here......

Indoor MX track anyone?
I don't know what's going on but I like it. All our snow seems to be falling on Maddog
It could be a bit warmer though. Its hovering around -20C.
The days are starting to get longer and that cold Arctic air has brought some high pressure along with it so the sun has finally made an appearance. Just have to deal with freezing and being snow-blind.
Just went out and pulled a "Glacier" off my neighbors roof, had to be at least 10,000 pounds of snow and ice,, made another "pile " 4ft high and 20ft long for me to remove,, if it had hit me it would have taken me right out another "North Easter"on Tuesday night into Wednesday , 2ft more on the horizon,,, trying to convince the wife that southern Texas would be a good place to live,,,good steaks and warm air,, Pecos mountains,,,

-30C, -40C counting windchill. lets see that's -22F, -40F with windchill. The starter on my truck gave up the ghost this morning. At least it's sunny
Mt Washington NH last night had an air temp of -37F , coupled with an 80mph wind, came out to something like -99 below zero,, 9 degree's this morn with a fresh 2 inches of snow with another foot on the chart for tomorrow,,,
Milder temps here today (9deg) but pissing it down

Another foot last night ,, and now,,,, six feet of the white stuff on the ground,,,,,getting a break now for a few day's,,, this bite's the big one
Ok no offence guys but this thread is getting a bit dull......its just daily updates which are of no use to anyone.

Im gonna stop following it
Possible cyclone tomorrow!

Don't know what the Aussies did to piss the upstairs man off but he is not on our side for the moment...
Dont worry, the folks on the Global warming committee have assured us the extreme cold weather you have been experiencing is due to fluctuations from global warming...
Actually normal winter weather for us, just a lack of snow compared to the average. We know where are snow went
I've seen a lot colder winters and made money cleaning roofs in my youth. Getting lazy in middle age and have someone else plow my driveway.

Maddog,
Where are you in N.E.? You should be used to this if you're in Vermont or New Hampshire.

"I'm just a man at the end of my tether"
You Blow Monkeys
Did a ride up through New Brunswick and out to PEI back when on my Benelli Quattro ,, what a veiw,,never forget the twisties on the coast,, fricken awesome the accent is all Mass Quebec in the summer, I'm sure there's nothing like it WTH DD, monkey's a tie down might work pretty good as a teather , you want to tie it "up" or "down" tie the monkey down tie the monkey down,,,,,,,,tie the monkey down,,,,tie the monkey down
Maddog,

So did you make enough for the Suter?, pretty lame here, about 8"fell. Good enough for a 70 car pile-up in the white-out though

i wanted to show everyone how out of hand this weather is. The snow in my yard is taller than the car:

Image

i consider myself a thick blooded new englander...but this is outrageous. i only live 25 or 30 miles away from the ocean. i have never seen anything like this.

as corny as this may sound, this weather makes me think of the first settlers that came here 400 years ago. hop off the boat, its sunnier than it would be in england or belgium, much warmer too. looks like a nice place to live...and then WHAM! welcome to winter arseholes...you're f***ed...
