Really nice terrain you have, no rocks not much stumps. You have 500 cc. Quite big bike for relatively low speed track. Smaller bike you can ride more aggressively And wont tired so fast. Ok, dont know how big guy you are. If you havent done any aerobic training like running, cycling etc. Circuit training, gym highly recommending do those things. I did 10 years off road competitions. When i started was about 15th most race. After couple months hard physical training improved to top5. Those 2strokes on video Thats what i mean more aggressively.
Yeah if money wasn't a thing, I'd have a stable of bikes for different setups. But I wanted the bike to be street legal, and me being 200 lbs, and while I ride this bike on the ice, the 500 was the way to go. But I hear yeah and I wish I had a smaller bike for those tight/tough tracks... But the race this coming Sunday is a more open, high speed, OHV (Off Highway Vehicle) park type track, nothing like the 2 videos above. I took 3rd there last month so the power and the speed of the 500 works well there. It's either that or it was a fluke me getting 3rd, we'll soon find out.
As for the training, I know I'm going to have to do it. I just hate it so much. I was in the Marine Corps grunts for 4 years, and the day I got out I swore to myself that I would never run a mile again. That was over 12 years ago, and I've pretty much kept my word. And I drink too much to get into any kind of decent shape. So I'll have my work cut out for me.
