Went to see Nessie, but was having too much fun to stop!

Just got back from a ride out to Loch Ness. Total time spent on the SD was just over 5 hours as I decided to take back roads there and back, only covered 252 miles though thanks to some serious twisties and quite a lot of tourists cramming up the road (mostly in the twisties ).

This was the first time going to Loch Ness, even though I have lived about 50 minutes from Inverness for 4 years! Awesome roads and scenery pretty much the whole way round.

Had a few scary moments due to it raining on and off for most of the day, which was making the road quite slippery. Had one almost low side where the front decided to give way, some how managed to save it even after the peg scrapped because of it. Had another when I hit something (possibly a big stone as had a mark on the tyre) whilst cranked over in the corner. Also had the rear stepping out a few times, due to the greasiness of the roads after a shower.

But all in all a very fun ride out!

Ps no photo were taken as only stopped twice, once for a 5 min refuel and once for about 30 min (refuel and a pee!)
For those who are in terested this is the route I took http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?saddr=Los ... =6&t=h&z=8

It wasn't quite the way I wanted, as I came out on the A9 (Boring!) earlier than I wanted to, plus I hit the road works that were going on
