#3Here's a link from my Buell forum that I've been following regarding this bike and the Buell 1190, it's pretty interesting, a lot of people are drinking the Buell koolaid.... So far the thread is 3 pages long, the link is to page 3, with the first two pages available to click on top of the screen.

#8I'm very curious about the reliability, so far I've read two tests of the 1198 where in it broken down. I hope the 1199 will do better.

#9Buell trashing aside (too easy a target), I'd definitely pony up for an RC8R Race Spec well before the Panigale.

#19I reckon boycott Ducati until the fuckwits get a Moto GP bike right.
Given that most new bikes, and all Italian new bikes, cost the same as a Used Superduke, a new but left over stock RC8, and best part of a Gas Gas enduro bike they must be fookin good to sell as I would rahter have 3 bikes for 12 -16 grand than one.
Post 20 by Ducati Pete,
#20I'm pretty sure the 1199 will be mustard.
LOL at Luke's rider ranking as well!

#49It is a monster to ride and even the fast IL4's needed a decent straight to best it.

#52If you check the WSB results.....oh hold on a sec..
RC8's look lovely but they aint comparable to the Ducatis IMHO , I aint no ducati fan by the way.
Had a test ride on one before i bought the BMW and hated the bike , that bloody dry clutch noise is awful.
I know a few peeps that have since put the RR's up for sale and ordered the new bike!! without even riding it , what can possibly be shit about it!
Hopefully the long tradition of Italian engineering will shine through

#55Saw the race spec RC8R at the show as well and it looked good...really good. No way I could justify the expense ($20K USD) though for 2-3 trackdays a year.
Still hoping KTM do the right thing (the easy thing) and produce the new SD based on the 2012 RC8R. I cannot think of another bike I would want to own. Litteraly!
